We have secured the national Law Society’s Law Management Quality Mark, Lexcel.  This is an optional, recognised accreditation scheme for law firms which gives assurance that a practice meets high client care and business management standards.  In gaining and retaining the Lexcel accreditation, this practice undergoes a rigorous initial, followed by an annual, application and assessment process.  Being Lexcel accredited demonstrates our commitment to client care and best practice.

The firm is accredited as part of the Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme. The scheme is designed to improve transparency of transactions, raise service levels and provide better communication and a more efficient process.

We will regularly update you by telephone or in writing with progress on your matter.  As to the frequency of updates, this depends upon the level of activity on your file and the urgency involved in your matter.  We will communicate with you in plain language.  We will explain to you by telephone or in writing the legal work required as your matter progresses.  We will update you on the cost of your matter at regular intervals.   If you wish to enter into a regular billing arragement with us e.g. monthly by standing order please contact us so that the necessary arrangements can be made.  We will update you on whether the likely outcomes still justify the anticipated costs and risks associated with your matter whenever there is a material change in circumstances.  Updates on the probable timescales for each stage of this matter and any important changes in those estimates will be given.

During the conduct of the transaction, we will review your matter regularly to include advising you of any changes in the law.  In addition, we will advise you of any circumstances and risks which we consider to be reasonably forseeable that could affect the outcome of your matter.

Your responsibilites to us include providing us with clear, timely, reasonable and accurate instructions.  In addition, we require you to provide all documentation to complete the transaction in a timely manner and, where applicable, you will safeguard any documents which are likely to be required for disclosure or use, whether now or in the future.

In addition, we will continue to review whether there are alternative methods by which your matter can be funded e.g. Conditional Fee Arrangements or Insurance. If you feel that any of these apply to you, please inform us. We regret that we are not franchised to undertake any Publicly Funded work and are unable to assess your eligibility for ‘legal aid’.  In the event that you feel you may be eligible for public funding, you should check your eligibility e.g. by consulting the Legal Services Commission’s website.

We may contact you in the future by email and if you you do not wish us to do so, please let us know in writing.

"I have used the services of Milwyn Jenkins & Jenkins on two separate occasions and have consistently found them to be both friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend them for both probate and conveyancing issues."
